Dear PA NENA Members & Vendors,
After careful consideration, it is with deep regret that the Board of Directors have chosen to cancel this year’s conference. We understand the COVID-19 Pandemic is affecting all of us in very different ways. This decision was certainly not an easy one however, we believe it to be the right one. The health & safety of our members and vendors was paramount in our decision.
Two of the many highlights of our conference are the educational tracks and the ability to network with 911 professionals from all parts of the Commonwealth. Social Distancing guidelines would fundamentally change the conference. A change that we feel would not be logistically possible.
In addition to the health & safety concerns and the near impossible Social Distancing guidelines for an event such as ours; we also had to consider the financial impact. The real possibility of a less than normal turnout of both vendors and attendees would result in a financial loss for the Chapter. We are more than grateful for our friends at the Toftrees Golf Resort for holding the Chapter harmless and allowing us to back-out of our event contract.
Our conference will return September 15-17, 2021 at the Toftrees Golf Resort in State College better than ever!
We are planning on conducting our annual membership meeting virtually and hoping you will join us, as we will share election results, Chapter goals as well as President & President-Elect remarks.
We understand this announcement may be received differently depending where you are located in the Commonwealth and your current state of the Pandemic. We trust that you understand our difficult, yet necessary decision to cancel this year’s conference.
Stay Safe & Stay Healthy.
Board of Directors
